Level 1 Digital Technologies Achievement Standard
In Digital Technologies there are 5 Achievement Standards that will let you earn twenty-three credits, three from an external and twenty from the internals. There are various standars that you will be doing during year 11 Digital Technologies Programme such as making a game, developing a website, learning how to use a word document and writing about a digital device. There are many to do that can lead you to Level 2 Digital Technologies Achievement Standard.

What will I learn
Implement basic procedures to produce a specified digital information outcome
Creation and interrogation of a database in Access. Learning about different data types an how to be efficiend with space. You will sort and search using and complex criteria. You will learn to create a user friendly form and report/ The advanced deatures of MS Word will allow you to presend a letter in a professional way. Mail merge is used to create many personalised letters from one skeleton.

This assessment is project based and requires the development of a merged documetn and a journal

This assessment requires the evaluation of existing websites, design and production of a website. Students must demonstrate programming skills in HTML and CSS.
Demonstrate understanding of basic concepts of information management
This is marked externally. It allows you to demonstrate your understanding of how you have created and managed your work. It is presendted as a 10 page report

This assessment requires the theory behind tasks undertaken. It is a written document that is marked externally.
Designing a Basic computer program
You will learn how to plan a computer program to make it efficent. You will use an algorithm and flowchart to visually plan your program prior to coding it.
Constructiong a Basic Computer Program for a task
You will create a game using either Scratch or python. The task will be given to you following a series of exercises that you will carry out independently.

This assessment requires the student to learn programming structures, develop and implement a solution to produce educational game.
Recognising Best Achievement
For internal standards, your teacher may use some of these methods to help you get the best grade you can:
provide templates for you to write your answers
check your progress at each stage (planning, processing, drafting, layout, final version etc.)
conference with you to make sure you have included all the appropriate information/responses you can and that you have met all the criteria for the standard
refer to your written classwork, assignments, practice tests etc. for some standards to find evidence of achievement beyond that shown in your assessment work
offer you another chance to redraft or re-present your work
offer you another similar assessment opportunity
Your teacher will record your grade for each practice assessment for external achievement standards. These grades will be important if you need to apply for compassionate consideration. Your attendance in class and at assessments will help to ensure that your work is authentic and that there are enough results to refer to if you need to apply for compassionate consideration for an external standard.
